Cetus GPS 1.1b4 is available
Cetus GPS
------------- Cetus GPS 1.1b4 is available at the homepage by now. Several features have been implemented including position averaging, a 'navigate to destination' option, tracking based on movements or all valid positions, a satellite view and color support. Take a look at the new screenshots at the homepage... 1.1b4 also supports the Navman 350 and 500 which apparantly do not follow the NMEA standard when regards to the communication speed. You therefore have to set the new baudrate option to 57600 if you are using one of those. 1.1b4 contains a lot of new and rather untested code and it is not to be considered stable. If you are using Cetus GPS for mission critical work you should continue using Cetus GPS 1.0 for a while. If you upgrade/downgrade it is important that you delete the current version on your Palm using the launcher delete function before installing. Otherwise you will almost definitely see some odd errors... Geocachers you will probably love the 'navigate to destination' option as it supports the same decimal minutes format as shown at geocaching.com Handera 330 users try setting your calculator silk button preferences to Cetus GPS 1.1b4 This looks really good! GPS TrackData ------------------ A probably stable but not yet thorough tested version of GPS TrackData for Windows is now available at http://www.CetusGPS.dk/TrackData It supports the same options as the DOS/Linux/Mac OS X command line application Cetus TrackLog and has a very nice user interface. Please notice that the current beta supports drag'n drop both to the icon and to the active window. Comments regarding this program should be directed to lars@cetusgps.dk or the talk list.
