Tijden van afspraken syncen niet mee naar Outlook
Ik heb een probleem met syncen van afspraken tussen de T3 (eigen conduit voor Outlook) en Outlook 2000.
Meer in het bijzonder: wanneer ik de tijden verander van een bestaande afspraak in de Palm, worden deze niet gesynct naar Outlook. In Outlook staan dus nog de oude tijden. Wanneer ik de afspraak vervolgens delete in de Palm, verdwijnt tie ook in Outlook. Dus blijkbaar is er wel nog verband tussen de twee afspraken (in feite dezelfde afspraak, maar met verschillende tijden). Andersom lukt wél: veranderen in Outlook levert wel een bijgewerkte Palm op. Wat kan er aan de hand zijn?

Ben er inmiddels achter dat het aan Datebk5 ligt.
Zodra ik dit verwijder, loopt de sync weer goed. Heb inmiddels kwestie gepost naar ontwikkelaars van Pimlico. Hou jullie op de hoogte.

Van Pimlico krijg ik dit (snelle) antwoord: It's a bug in Palm's compatibility kludge software. They do know about this bug, but at this point there is no official response as to what they are going to do about it. I am also looking at the possibility of some kind of workaround, but since their code is completely undocumented, it's rather tough to know what might prompt their program to properly update their databases....

Heb een workaround gevonden: als je in de afspraak -behalve de tijden- iets wijzigt, dan wordt er wel correct gesynct.
Bij het verzetten van afspraken of het wijzigen van aanvangs- of eindtijd zet ik nu dus een spatie of punt achter de beschrijving van de afspraak. Probleem is daarmee opgelost, maar wel omslachtig. En je moet er steeds aan denken. Heb deze workaround ook gemeld bij Pimlicosoftware. Hopelijk kunnen ze er wat mee: automatisch een spatie toevoegen bij wijzigen van tijd of iets dergelijks. Zijn er overigens andere T3 gebruikers die dit probleem hebben????? Ik krijg zo weinig reacties op deze thread.

Na een paar mailwisselingen over mijn workaround (zie hierboven) deze toezegging van Pimlico gekregen:
Well, I'm relenting a bit on this one and will try the kludge as at this point I see no alternative. I have got feedback from someone at PalmOne that they now realize they've got a ghastly bug there, but they also don't see how to easily fix it at their end either The fix is to alternately append a single space to the description field and remove it - so worse case, every other time you change the item a space is appended. I would guess most people won't even notice it (may even think it's a feature so you can add more words without having to hit a spaceband first<g>).
