HotSync

Hallo mensen, nieuwe gebruiker hier. Ik heb mijn Palm Tungsten E gewonnen op de sterrenbeurs en probeer langzamerhand dat ding te leren kennen. Voor deze palm kan je software downloaden op de sterrenbeurs, wat ik uiteraard gedaan heb. Door middel van HotSync zou je de aandelen en alle bijbehorende gegevens op je palm moeten krijgen, maar dat werkt niet. Ik krijg geen gegevens van de beurs op mijn palmpje. Weet iemand waar dit aan zal kunnen liggen??? Weet iemand wat ik moet doen? Ik dacht al aan resetten en alles opnieuw installeren, maar op e.o.a. manier lukt me dat ook niet. Ook niet met de reset pin in combinatie met de aan/uit knop. Alle software blijft er gewoon opstaan...

Lees om te beginnen eerst de Palmclub Tips pagina's door, en gebruik de zoekfunctie op dit forum om je handheld te leren kennen. Hiermee had je bijvoorbeeld deze thread kunnen vinden.

Allereerst, heb je de installatie van je Tungsten wel goed voltooid op je computer? Met andere woorden, voert hij wel een normale hotsync uit zonder fouten?

soms blijft ie in de hotsync hangen. als ik dan later nog een keer wil syncen doet ie t niet, hij blijft dan hangen in connecting with the desktop ...

Hoezo soms? En moet je dan nog iets speciaals doen om hem de volgende keer weer goed te laten doen? Kun je misschien de meest recente hotsync log hier even posten (rechtermuisknop hotsync icoontje in de systemtray >> show log). Heb je de kabeltjes wel goed ingeplugd? Staat het vinkje wel bij Local USB?

Het plaatsen van een applicatie naar de Palm gaat heel eenvoudig. Dubbelklik in Windows op het bestand (altijd met extensie .prc (het programma zelf) of .pdb (hulp/database bestand)) en voer een hotsync uit. Een programma verwijderen is nog makkelijker. Selecteer het menu (op het schrijfgedeelte onder het huisje), en dan delete, selecteer het programma, en druk op de knop delete.

bedoel je dit???
ik heb de pc opnieuw op moeten starten want hotsync deed t niet meer!

We hebben hier te maken met een mislukte installatie van de Palm Desktop. Wat je het beste kunt doen is deze even opnieuw installeren, het liefst na de Desktop ge-de-installeerd te hebben. Staat op je CD dus. Als dit niet werkt, probeer dit:

\r\nDaarom is het goed om van tijd tot tijd een grote schoonmaak in te plannen. Dat klinkt als een zeer tijdrovende klus, maar dat valt in de praktijk best mee. En net als in het echte leven maakt het je handheld schoner waardoor hij weer beter zal functioneren.

ga ik doen... zag ook nog iets over een firewall and hotsync--> custom ---> sterrenbeurs ---> netwerk ... en dan moet ik iets invullen bij de proxy... vul ik daar www.sterrenbeurs.nl in????

Als je met het normale internetten niet met firewalls of proxies te maken hebt, zou ik daar gewoon niks invullen. Je handheld is op de een of andere manier niet goed geinstalleerd op de desktop en daar komt alle ellende van.

Vergeet je niet administrator rechten te hebben wanneer je de boel weer installeert?
