Vandaag van Garmin een email ontvangen. Kortheidshalve plak ik hem in dit bericht:
Unfortunately, an incomplete Palm Desktop installation can lead to the iQue not being recognised by the PC. This is evident when a hotsync is attempted, and the PC fails to respond, causing the iQue to hang during the hotsync process.
To complete the installation, open up the Windows Device Manager. This is achieved by clicking the Start button, click Run, type "Control" and click OK, double click on the System icon. This opens the System Properties window. In Win2000/XP, the device manager is reached through the hardware tab, and clicking on the Device Manager button. In Win95/98, it is reached by clicking on the Device Manager tab.
Place the iQue in it's cradle, make sure the cradle is plugged into a USB port on your PC, and press the hotsync button on the cradle. The Device manager should then refresh, listing an unknown Palm device. Double click on the listed Palm device. This brings up the properties window of this device.
Click on the driver tab, and then on the "Update Driver" button. The process requires the user to manually search for the driver. The best way to achieve this is to display known drivers for the device. The Update Device window will appear, from which you'll need to click the "Have Disk" button. In Win95/98, select Other Devices first from the device list. Clicking the Have Disk button will bring up a window, which will allow you to browse for the iQue driver, which is located at C:\Program Files\Palm\USB_Driver, where C is the letter of your hard drive. From this point, following the prompts, the driver should install without a hitch.
Once the installation is complete, hotsync the iQue, of which the hotsync should complete.

Het werkte dus ik kan nu mijn Ique overal gebruiken.
